NEW FOR 2009! SUMMER WORK SHOP SESSIONS

(July 09, 2009)
After reflecting on the joy of playing within a group (I play Alto saxophone with equinox, and Soprano sax with a Saxophone quartet) I have decided to arrange a few informal workshop sessions in the Summer holidays initially for my own students to experience the great feeling of playing in a group, build confidence and enjoyment of playing, and hopefully meet other local amateur musicians.

The workshop sessions will take place in the Summer holidays and be around 2 hours long. Music will be sent out around 2-3 weeks in advance, and will be quite manageable in order to act as a confidence builder. Interspersed with playing will be short activities/lip breaks and of course tea and cake in the main break.

Students may register their interest by simply emailing me, and further details can be found on the monthly newsletter that is winging its way to you as we speak!

If the sessions are as successful as i'm hoping, it could be a regular event and may grow to bigger workshops in the future with the possibility of additional tutors plus informal concert even. Watch this space!
